Snow!

We got our first dusting snow last night of the season.  It wasn't all that much, but it was enough to get out the sled or "boat" as Connor calls it and make a few snow balls.  Connor had a blast!  When he came in his poor cheeks were bright red but he had a huge smile on his face-- I have the pictures to prove it. :-)

8 Months Old

Anderson turned 8 months old on Christmas Eve.  I can hardly believe how big he is getting.  He crawls everywhere, pulls himself up, eats all big people food, and babbles like nobodies business.  I have a feeling he is going to be a little talker.  He is still our happy little guy and laughs all the time.  He brings so many smiles to our faces every day.  He loves to eat and has some kissable, chunky thighs to prove it.  We have yet to find a food he doesn't like.  Anderson is our little ham and we love every little slice of him!  Happy 8 months baby boy!

Christmas Day

Christmas morning we were so excited to see that Santa came to our house.  We opened our presents and played all morning.  It is so fun to watch Connor open his gifts and get so excited (Anderson had fun with the paper and boxes.  We are so blessed!
That afternoon we went to my parents house to celebrate with my family and visit with my brother Eddie who was able to come in town.  The kids always have a blast together and loved playing with their new toys. I am so mad at my self. In the midst of all the chaos I didn't get very many pictures.  Here is one of Connor in his favorite "SUPER HERO" gift!
We had a wonderful Christmas and hope you and your families did as well.  While we had a fun time opening gifts, eating yummy food, and visiting with family, we also remember the reason for the season.  Jesus is born and that is a real reason to celebrate!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve morning Mike's Dad and Nancy came over to celebrate.  More presents and lots of playing...so much fun!
That night we headed to Aunt Nancy and Uncle Ed's house.  Santa made a surprise visit (of course Connor was the only kid who wouldn't sit on his lap).  We had mass, lots of yummy food, and the kids all got presents.  It was fun to see everyone and celebrate.  Connor and two other cousins got pirate kits with a sword and hook...needless to say they had a blast together.

Christmas Eve Eve

The night before Christmas Eve we had some of Mike's family over to celebrate Christmas.  We had a great time visiting and opening presents.  Connor was kind of a present hog and opened EVERYONE's gifts.  It was a great way to start off our Christmas festivities. The boys were worn out and slept like rocks that night.

Christmas Lights

One of my favorite things to do around Christmas time is driving around looking at lights.  This year we drove around to find a few houses that go all out on decorations.  One house even had its own radio station to tune in to.  Connor liked the lights, but both boys were out before we finished.  However, I was grateful to Mike for driving me around :-)

Bath Time

We have looked forward to the day when we could give the boys a bath together.  We have given them some in the past but it was always a little tricky with Anderson trying to crawl and sliding all over.  We are finally to the point where they can take a bath together safely and boy do they love it!  They both laugh the whole time and splash A LOT. It cuts our routine in half so we are pretty excited ourselves.  Happy Splashing!

Christmas Party

We had some of our friends over for a Christmas party/game night.  It is always a good time when we are together and so fun to watch the kids play with each other.  We ate yummy food and drinks, played games, and enjoyed catching up with everyone.  We are so lucky to have such great friends!

These kids crack me up...

St. Nick's Day

St.Nick came to our house last night and brought the boys some goodies.  Connor was a little unsure at first but when he saw that there were cars in his stocking he got very excited.  The boys got movies, Christmas PJ's and candy...lucky boys!  Happy St. Nick's Day!!

Caught Up

I think I am finally caught up on blogging.  Blogger decided to change some stuff and it cost me some storage so I had to find a work around.  A-NOY-ING!!!  But I am back on track!

Breakfast with Santa

My Mom treated us to Breakfast with Santa again at Notre Dame.  They had a yummy breakfast, fun games, a balloon man, and of course Santa Clause himself.  Connor loved the balloon man and his Octopus balloon.

He even said he wanted to show it to Santa and tell him that he wanted "Spiderman" for Christmas. He stood in line so nicely and was so excited and then when it was our turn...

Anderson loved Santa...
And Connor...let's just say Santa never got to hear what he wanted
Anderson is telling Santa, "Yeah...he's crazy"
However Connor got his act together long enough to get his present from Santa and open it. Loved his "Super Hero!"

Thanks Grandma for a fun filled morning!!  And what's a cousin outing without an attempt at a picture?!?!

7 Months

Anderson is now 7 months old.  He is getting so big and is now MOBILE!  Yes... he is crawling and is getting pretty fast.  He says DaDa, but not MaMa yet..BOO!! He is still the sweetest, chilled baby unless he is hungry.  He thinks his big brother is the funniest thing ever and likes to crawl on his back. He loves to eat and is feeding himself puffs and cheerios. I have tried other pieces of food, but he seems to have a bit of a gag reflex.  No teeth as of yet. We can't get enough of his funny faces and his contagious smile.  Love you Anderson...sooo much!

Happy Thanksgiving 2012

We hope you and your families had a very Happy Thanksgiving! We had a busy, but fun day.  I started off doing a turkey trot run with my neighbor. After that we ate and ate and ate until we were as stuffed as the turkey.  We had a great day and have so much to be thankful for. Let the holiday season and the Christmas music began!! :-)

We attempted some family pictures at my MIL's house...
We did get one were Connor doesn't look like a rag doll, but I have to save it for the Christmas card :-)

Hall of Fame

My Dad was inducted into St. Mary's Hall of Fame.  He has coached and taught at St.Mary's for over 30 years. We are so proud of him and were honored to share this night with him. It is amazing how many people I randomly meet that have had my Dad for a teacher and/or coach.  Not one of them has ever had a bad thing to say about him.  He has touched and inspired so many lives...just amazing!  We are so excited for him and proud of this wonderful achievement.  Congratulations Dad, we love you!

Happy Halloween

We hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween.  We started out with a Halloween party at school last night thrown by Parents as Teachers.  Two of our neighbors came with their little boys as well.  The boys have so much fun together.

Tonight we took Connor for his first ever round of trick or treating.  I thought he would be shy but he did great!  He knocked on the doors, said "Trick or Treat" and then said "thank you!".  He did awesome.  Anderson enjoyed costume watching with Mommy.  Here are some pictures of our little football player and our football.

6 Months

Anderson is now 6 months old-- half a year!!  He is sitting like up and gets up on all fours...only a matter of time before he takes off crawling- Yikes!  He is starting to become a Momma's boy and I can't say that upsets me ;-)  He is all smiles for the most part, that is, unless he is putting something in his mouth (and everything gets put in his mouth).  He is a drooling machine but no teeth yet. He LOVES to eat his fruits and veggie.  I have a feeling he is going to be a good eater just like his big brother.  Anderson keeps us smiling and we couldn't love him any more.

Happy 1/2 birthday buddy!  We love you so much and are so thankful that you are in our family.  You bring so much joy and love to our family-- we are truly blessed to have such a sweet little man.  All our Love!

As I was saying...everything goes in the mouth!

Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Stewart

Sunday we went to Mike's Grandparents house for lunch.  They brought Grandma home from the nursing home for the day.  We had fun seeing family, eating yummy food and Connor stayed busy riding the "tractor" and playing with animals and with Daisy...Grandma and Grandpa's dog.

Here are a few pictures of the three great Grandkids with their Great Grandpa and Great Grandma.

Princess Party

My niece Kate had a princess party to celebrate her 3rd birthday.  We had such a fun time wearing our crowns and eating yummy royalty food.  And what princess party is complete without a castle?
The kids had a blast in the bounce house...
And the adults...well we may have enjoyed it a little too much ;-)
Happy third birthday Kate...We love you!

Randoms

We had a very fun but busy day yesterday.  When Mike asked Connor what he wanted to do today he replied, "I want to stay my house".  Ha!  So we stayed around the house.  Connor and Abby (the cat) had a heart to heart on the deck:
The other day Mike found this leaf on steroids.  Connor thought it was the coolest thing ever!

Birthday Party and Hay Ride

Yesterday afternoon we went to Faust Park Carousal for our friend Briley's first birthday party.  It was such a cute party. Connor rode the carousal for almost 45 minutes straight...LOVED it!  Happy Birthday Briley-- we love you!
After the party we went to a park by our house for a Halloween party/ hay ride.  My sister Maria and her family also came along.  The kids enjoyed the hay ride, bonfire, and a couple games.  They all got a little pumpkin from the "pumpkin patch".  It was a fun time to get us in the Halloween spirit.

SHARE

This past Monday was pregnancy and infant loss awareness day.  We lit a candle at 7 in honor of our niece Paige and all the other babies that have gone to Heaven. Yesterday we participated in the SHARE walk.  SHARE is an organization that offers support for all parents who have lost a little one.  We walked in memory of Paige and to show our never ending support to Marissa, Pat, and Landon.  We will always miss our sweet niece and honor her in any way we can.

Pumpkin Patch

One of my favorite fall activities is going to the pumpkin patch.  We headed to Stuckmeyer's Farm for some pumpkin picking fun.  Connor loved looking at the pumpkins and the animals and playing on the playground and in the corn maze.  He saw the tractor pulling the barrel train and wanted to go for a ride.  Mike and I remembered how much he hated the ride at Eckerts while apple picking so we decided it was not a good idea.  Connor was persistent and so finally we explained that he would have to ride by himself without Mommy and Daddy and that he couldn't cry.  He agreed so we let him ride.  He sat so still the whole ride with his hands together (we laughed that he was praying).  When the tractor pulled in at the end he jumped out, smiled and said "I didn't cry!"  So funny!!  It was a fun morning and we can't wait to carve our pumpkins.

Sitting Like a Big Boy

In the past couple weeks Anderson has mastered sitting.  He loves sitting up and being able to look all around and play with all his toys.  Connor thinks it is great as well-- it is so fun to watch them "play" together.  Andersons face lights up when Connor talks to him and he just laughs and laughs-- makes a Mommas heart melt!

This picture is all out of focus, but it is near impossible to get them to both sit still and look at the same time-- so it will have to do

5 Months

Mr.Anderson is now 5 months old.  What better way to celebrate then by sleeping from 7:45pm to7:30am...Alleluia!!!  I know it will not happen every night, but at least now I know it is possible!  Anderson is such a happy little guy and laughs all the time at his Big Brother.  We love him so much and cannot imagine our lives without him.  5 months old...holy moley!

Carnival

My Grandma's community had a carnival for family and friends.  It was really cute-- they had pony rides, carriage rides, a petting zoo, games, balloon animals and tons of goodies to eat.  It was a gorgeous day and my Grandma enjoyed having a lot of her grandkids and great-grandkids there with her.  Thanks for a fun afternoon GiGi.  We love you!

Things That Goooo....

We took the boys to our Parents As Teachers Things that Go event. Connor was in Heaven!  He had so much fun climbing, jumping, and crawling through all the vehicles and machines.  He was running from one to the next, but his favorite was the school bus.  He also was fitted for a helmet and would not take it off.  He wore it until we got home.

Veggies

The little man got his first taste of squash and boy did he love it!  He smacked his lips so loud and ate every bite.  He is getting to be such a big boy!
