Eagles in Alton

On Saturday morning we headed to Alton and Grafton, IL to look for eagles.  They say January is the best month to spot eagles there and they were not lying. Last year we went in late February and we saw way more this year.  They were everywhere-- floating on ice in the river and in the trees.  The scenery is so pretty-- we just love it!  Connor and Anderson were also very excited about seeing the eagles and playing along the river throwing rocks and finding sticks (such boys)!  The weather was gorgeous and we had a fun morning together.

BTW…I have no idea why Connor is wearing his helmet.  Sometimes you just have to pick your battles. ;-)
