In a couple weeks Mike and I will celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. We haven't been away just the two of us since our honeymoon so it was time for us to escape for a few days. On Friday morning we headed to the Lodge of Four Seasons at the Lake of the Ozarks. We had an amazing time together and were able to just relax.
When we arrived on Friday we hit the pool all afternoon. That evening we did a little shopping at the outlet mall and had dinner.
On Saturday we went for a run and then went to the pool all day! Ahhhhh-- so wonderful! That night we went to church and had a delicious dinner at JB Hooks Steakhouse. A meal is never complete without an ice cream for dessert!

We wanted to do something after dinner and for some reason we decided to go bowling. We walked into the local bowling ally and no one was bowling. There were three guys at the bar but Mike and I had the ally to ourselves. It was hilarious! I don't think we stopped laughing the whole time-- and the fact that we are not very good bowlers was even more entertaining!

It was SO nice to get away for the weekend and be together just the two of us. However, we were more than ready to get home to see our boys who we missed VERY much! A special thank you to Aunt Maria, Uncle Evan, Cole and Kate for watching Connor and Anderson! They had so much fun and we owe you big time! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
